Grazie a un cielo chiaro a Taormina e una mattina libera a Boston, ho potuto catturare questi screen shot, sempre dal webcam dell'albergo Villa Ducale di Taormina (http://www.villaducale.com/media-gallery/etna-webcam). Ciascun di queste foto è stata scattata a distanza di 3 minuti. In particolare, la differenza fra 17:18 and 17:21 è stata strepitosa! Non si sa mai che succederà minuto a minuto. Nelle ultime foto nella series, il fumo è stato illuminato con un color di rosso così intenso che è quasi sembrata la lava. Niente lava, solo fumo. Le meraviglie dell'Etna non conosce limiti! | The blazing sun sets over the smoking mountain ... Thanks to a clear sky in Taormina and a free morning in Boston, I was able to capture these screen shots, again from the webcam from the hotel Villa Ducale in Taormina (http://www.villaducale.com/media-gallery/etna-webcam). Each of these photos was taken 3 minutes apart. In particular, the difference between 17:18 and 17:21 was sensational! One never knows what will happen minute to minute. In the last photos in the series, the smoke was illuminated with such an intense red color that it almost seemed like lava. No lava, just smoke. The wonders of Etna know no bounds! |
