Pubblicata nel 1874, Mattinata fu una delle prime canzoni di successo tostiane. Qui l'interprete è il leggendario soprano austrialiano, Dame Nellie Melba (1861-1931). La registrazione non è senza importanza storica. Fu incisa nel 1904 a Londra, ove Tosti stesso viveva e lavorava.

Published in 1874, Mattinata was one of Tosti's first hit songs.  Here the performer is the legendary Australian soprano, Dame Nellie Melba (1861-1931). The recording is not without historic significance.  It was recorded in 1904 in London, where Tosti himself was living and working.
